A man died after trying to jump into the window of a yellow cab in Times Square in the early morning hours of Sept. 1. Edgar Castillo, 47, lunged at the window on the driver’s side of the cab just after 4:00am at Seventh Ave., cops said. Rattled, the cabbie took off, going south on Seventh with Castillo still dangling from the window.

Castillo fell to the pavement near 44th St. Medics found him on the ground and rushed him to St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved. The cabbie fled the scene. Police were still looking for the driver days later.

Castillo’s distraught sister, Luisa Castillo, 35, said she wasn’t sure what to make of her brother’s alarming death. She also noted that Castillo’s daughter recently turned 18 years old.
