The NYPD has been searching for an armed man who has been robbing For-Hire vehicle (FHV) drivers at knife- and gunpoint in Brooklyn in recent months. As of Jan. 27, the suspect had not been caught.

Police released surveillance video of the man they’re searching for in connection with at least eight robberies in and around the precincts serving Flatbush, East Flatbush and East New York. The first robbery was on Nov. 5 and the most recent robbery was on Jan. 12, police said. The man displayed a knife in eight of the robberies and a gun in two of them, according to police, who declined to say if any of the cabbies were injured.

The video released by police shows the suspect with a knife during a robbery on Jan. 8, police said. It can be viewed here.
