The NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) reminds licensees that for-hire vehicle (FHV) drivers who meet eligibility requirements can access a variety of free services, including dental coverage, vision coverage, telemedicine, earn while you learn payments, and mental health services, as well as prescription, urgent care, and diagnostic imaging discounts. These benefits are paid for through a portion of the surcharge that passengers pay on their fare for each ride.
The FREE services and supplemental benefits are available to eligible FHV drivers through the Black Car Fund and the Independent Drivers Guild.
